2012 Infiniti G37 and Nissan Skyline 55th Limited Editions
For 2012 Nissan have released Limited Edition versions of the US-based Infiniti G37 and japanese-based Nissan Skyline, but for different purposes. For those not in the know, the Infiniti G37 models are the US marketed nameplate for Nissan's Skyline. Both Limited versions have received little press to date.
Infiniti G37 Limited EditionThe 2012 Infiniti G37 Limited Edition features an extensive list of performance and appearance items including uniquely designed dark finish 18-inch aluminum-alloy wheels, front chin spoiler, rear decklid spoiler, Midnight Black grille Graphite leather-appointed interior, power moonroof, Infiniti Studio on Wheels® by Bose® Premium Audio System, Infiniti Hard Drive Navigation System, Bluetooth® Advanced Audio Distribution Profile, Infiniti Voice Recognition, Sport Brakes, Sport-tuned Suspension, 14.7:1 Sport-tuned steering gear, Viscous Limited-Slip Differential (RWD only), unique sport front fascia, unique headlights, front sport seats, aluminum pedals, solid magnesium paddle shifters and more.
It's Black Obsidian exterior and handcrafted graphite leather interior gives this Limited Edition G37 Journey a sleek look that will provide ultimate comfort and the ultimate driving experience. With a 7-speed automatic transmission, the G37 Journey Limited Edition will allow for complete control over the vehicle. Its 328-hp 3.7-liter VVEL V6 engine provides the driver with a vehicle that achieves Acceleration Swell, or a progressive, seemingly endless rush that builds and builds as you push the accelerator. The G37 Limited Edition comes equipped with Intelligent All-Wheel Drive that provides power when you need it, and instantly adapts to the changing exterior conditions or in standard RWD configurations. The interior of the Limited Edition Journey comes with handcrafted graphite leather. The driver's seat has 8-way power adjustments with available memory functions to make certain the driver is able to maneuver the vehicle in ultimate comfort.
The 2012 Infiniti G37 Limited Edition will only have 400 units available.
2012 Nissan Skyline 55th LimitedThe Nissan Skyline 55th Limited Edition has been released to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the Nissan Skyline which was initially released in 1957 and is limited to 555 units.
This commemorative edition comes with “Anniversary Brilliant Red” colored leather heated seats with “Skyline Since 1957” embroidered on both of the front seats. The Skyline's exterior will have Garnet Black Pearl paint with Nissan's Scratch Shield paint. Scratch Shield is a clearcoat that is more scratch resistant compared with conventional clearcoats, helping a vehicle maintain its new look for a longer period of time. The paint also repairs fine scratches, restoring a vehicle's surface close to its original state.
The Skyline “55th Limited” edition will be released with both 7-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions along with Nissan's 3.7L or 2.5L V6 dependant on the model. Similar to the US-based G37 Limited Edition the Skyline 55th Limited features a Bose® Premium Audio System, pre-crash seat belts and Intelliget brake assist, speed sensitive steering, Intelligent cruise control, and other Nissan packages.
Unlike the US-based G37 Limitied Edition, the Skyline 55th Limited Edition is available in both coupe and sedan formats. Additionally, the G37 model is only available with the 3.7L V6 whereas the Skyline has an optional 2.5L.
