The following instructions walk through the installation of OEM paddle shifters which were available on Journey models with Sport Package. These steps can be used
for all Infiniti G37 coupe, sedans, and convertibles. Additionally, these steps can be used on 2007 - 2008 Infiniti G35 sedans.
NOTE: Before odering the kit you should check and validate your vehicle is prewired for paddle shifters. While the majority of supported vehicles are pre-wired there have
been cases where they were found not to be. Follow steps 1-10 as part of this validation process before ordering. |

Tools needed: phillips screwdriver, small flat head screwdriver, ratchet w/10mm socket, and patience

Step 1. Remove Steering Column Cover Start by turning steering wheel 90* to right from center position. Remove tab covering screw with small flat tip screw driver and then remove screw with phillips screw driver

Step 2. position steering wheel to the left from center 90* and remove tab and screw using same process in step one.
|
|
 |
Step 3: Remove the small trim piece underneath steering column by gently pulling down and towards front of vehicle
|
|
 |
Step 4: Remove the screws from underneath cover in step 3 and remove bracket. Put aside for reinstallation
|
|
 |
Step 5: Remove the final screw from underneath steering colum bottom cover as shown
|
|
 |
Step 6: Pull the top half of the steering column cover up but don't completely remove. Piece will be used again.
|

 |
Step 7: Turn steering wheel from center 180* left or right and pull bottom steering cover down from section closest to steering wheel. This will require a little effort. Then slowly remove the bottom section so you can access the electronic tilt fucntion plug.

Step 8. Unplug harness for tilt function
|

 |
Step 9. There are small push tabs that hold the tilt switch in place, activate those tabs and remove switch and put to the side for reinstallation

Step 10. Time to reveal the harness plugs for paddle shifter
|
|
 |
Step 11. Install paddle shifter on each side using (1) 6mm nut (1) 6mmx10mm bolt (not supplied)
|

 |
Step 12. Install new steering wheel cover pieces beginning with bottom section, **reuse top section from step 6**. You will also need (1) 12mm trim screw similar to the (3) you removed when taking off the old covers. The (1) screw that was removed from bottom cover can be utilized. If you don't have another one lying around, the pieces will stand intact without. Remember to turn steering wheel 180* left or right from center to begin installing bottom cover.

Step 13. Install left side cover, be sure to insert the tilt switch and plug harness in. Also be sure to position the tilt switch in the right configuration so the functions move the steering wheel the direction you move the switch.

Step 14. Install right side cover
|
|
 |
Step 15. NOw position the top half so the (2) trim screws you removed in steps 1 & 2 can be put back into place.

Step 16. Replace the bracket and trim piece that was removed from step 3 & 4.
|

 |
Step 17. Enjoy your new paddle shifters!! *Graphite paddles in Stone interior**
